Une histoire traitant de la mythologie grecque, avec les Dieux grecs et une mystérieuse héroïne... Vous voyez où je veux en venir ? Oui ! C'est totalement mon style ! En plus, il y a une prophétie magnifique au tout début, écrite avec poésie et douceur... J'en perds mes mots ! 

L'histoire commence avec Athan, fils d'Hermès, qui visiblement n'est pas du type social et qui s'est fait rejeter plusieurs fois par de potentiels amis... Il est donc en Enfer, en train de regarder les âmes se faire emmener par Charon. Et puis d'un coup, nous sommes dans l'action, avec quatre Dieux (dont les trois principaux) qui veulent visiblement ôter la vie d'une personne inconnue... 

Que dire, que dire... La mythologie est présente, respectée (selon les livres les plus connus en tout cas). Les Dieux ne sont ni totalement gentils, ni horriblement méchant. J'ai été plongée dans l'action immédiatement, j'avais envie de suivre Athan où qu'il aille, quoi qu'il fasse ! Des petits indices sont donnés dans tout le livre sur le dénouement (probablement) final et ça ne me donne que plus envie d'acheter la suite ! 

Les personnages sont incroyablement bien décrits, avec des psychologies parfaitement maîtrisées. C'est dur de critique véritablement cette oeuvre parce que tout y est parfait, de la plume légère et rythmée de l'auteur jusqu'aux tous petits détails donnés dans le roman ! Le rythme est bon, agréable à suivre et les péripéties logiques et humainement possible (ou presque, pour certaines). Il y a un mélange agréable d'humour, de thriller et de mythologie, quelque chose que j'avais rarement voir jamais vu avant, donc je suis tombée sous le charme ! 

A mon avis, que vous lisiez en anglais ou non, ce roman est à découvrir. Le vocabulaire n'est pas difficile, l'action est complète et intriguante, les personnages sont attachants et presque "humains" en un sens. L'auteur nous donne envie de devenir une partie de son monde et c'est avec plaisir que j'y succombe. 

A story about Greek mythology, with the Greek gods and a mysterious heroine... See where I'm going with that ? Yeah ! That's completly my favourite genre ! Plus, there's a beautifuly written prophetie at the beginning.... Gosh I lost my mind ! 

So, the story begins with Athan, son of Hermes who isn't the social type of guy. He clearly got rejected multiple times by supposed friends... He's in Hell, looking at souls being dragged down by Charon. His dad is here too, maybe on business ? It's hard to imagine Hermes doing business in the Underworld right ?! And then, the action really starts with four Gods (including the Great Three) wanting to kill an unknown fragile person (presumably a child)... 

What to say, what to say.... Mythology is the biggest part of the plot. Gods are nor evil nor good, only....humain-like (?). The story puts the reader into the action instantly, I really wanted to follow Athan everywhere ! Little clues about the final ending are all over the book which is really cool and entertaining !

All the characters are really well depicted, with perfect psychology. I love to see how character thinks and why they do what they do. And here, everything seems so logical... It's like a dream ! It's really hard to find critics to say about this book because I truly deeply loved it from the beginning to the ending. The rythm is good, the author's writing is on point, we can see all the research he had to do all these years... There is a subtle mix of humour, thriller and mythologies, something I haven't seen before or rarely and I litteraly fell for it ! And I'm not going to talk about my precious Athan baby because he's way too precious ! 

So my advice would be... Wheter you read English or not, go read it. Vocabulary isn't too hard, action is perfect, characters are on point and almost human for some of them. The author shows us a "whole new world" and I would take any magical ride to get there !
